Reasons I STILL Love NYC:

You can walk into a random Starbucks near Union Square and run into an old friend, (even though neither of you actually live in NYC anymore) and pick up right where you left off.

You can sit in a park and be approached by three complete strangers from three different countries, who are all in an English class-and they want to engage in conversation to better understand the language. (P.S. All three spoke better English than a third of the people who are actually born here.)

You can eat a three course meal at 1AM and nobody thinks anything of it.

But my favorite part, you can walk around any area of this city and gaze up and see no less than: 10 different types of architecture, 10 different ethnicities and 10 different styles of fashion-all while watching an uber wealthy stockbroker avoid eye contact with a homeless man.

Random Question:

How many different combinations of the same four button down shirts and pairs of pants can you wear before becoming completely sick of it!
It's like a fashion game for middle-class people.
You have enough money to buy a few nice things, so you have to figure out how to maximize the return..
I think I'm doing okay, but one quick look on my Instagram, might tell a different story.

Dance 3. Looks 10.

That's not how the song goes?!
Sadly, that's how I felt yesterday at an audition.
Despite my yoga practice and all of the choreography and teaching I do,
The fact is, there are some things I just cannot do anymore...
Like extend my leg past 90 degrees!
Still, I can clean the floor with my style and story-
But don't ask me to do an eight count développé to penché!
It's just not going to happen.
P.S. I'll gladly keep my looks over my extension any day.
Plus, there are still those Broadway style, step touch shows that I'm perfect for!

Bad Haircut...

Why can't people listen?
Since when did "take an inch off the top" turn into a buzz cut?
Ugh. Bad haircuts make me so angry!

I Hate Bad Haircuts!

How annoying is a bad haircut?!?
...I know, I know- it's only hair. It will grow back. But really?

I've spent a lot of time learning how to be very specific when talking to the stylist;
1/2 inch off the top,
no texturing please,
nice and tight around the sides and back,
taper the back,
no razor,
please don't touch the sideburns.

I don't think that's a lot to ask!
I will watch whoever is cutting my hair listen to the directions, smile and say, "No problem!"
And it's always a problem.
Stylist see my hair, and they love to fuck it up!

So even thought it's only hair, I have to spend the next month looking at it- too short on top, not short enough on the sides, textured worse than Clay Akin, and my sideburns take FOREVER to grow back in fully!

UUUUhhhhhggggg! There's not enough pomade, gel or paste to make this haircut work!
God- I hate bad haircuts!
...and a week before my birthday! I just wanted to look fresh and clean...
Now I look like Ryan Seacrest!
