Zen Thoughts: Cars

When the check engine light in my Jeep goes off,
I get a little overheated;
That flashing orange hazard light signals a reaction in myself.
Usually associated with money.
On the flip side, how lucky are we to have indicator lights in our cars––usually alerting us to a situation before it worsens.
Too bad humans don’t have “check engine” lights;
Or do we?

Broke Down

The feeling of having a nervous breakdown when your car stalls in the middle of rush hour.

Road Trip

Cramped car,
Crappy junk food,
Beautiful scenery,
Bugs flying at the windshield,
Asshole drivers,
Tired truckers,
Spending too much money on gas,
Unclean rest stops.
Ah, the beauty of a road trip!

Freeway

People driving in little bubbles,

Selfish, swerving, probably on their phone.

Danger lurks from lane to lane,

So fast, yet so incredibly slow.

Traffic creeps where there's construction,

Cops are waiting near "on ramps."

How can 5 lanes be filled with cars-

All in their own little isolated world.

Wake up people, cars are weapons, and you are driving like an asshole!
