A Trip To The Airport

Saying goodbye at an airport is always rough.
Sitting in morning rush hour traffic for an hour and a half on the way home, is brutal.
Getting to Starbucks just in time for them to run out of my favorite breakfast sandwich, is RAGE-worthy!
Who knew a trip to the airport could be so disappointing?

Freeway

People driving in little bubbles,

Selfish, swerving, probably on their phone.

Danger lurks from lane to lane,

So fast, yet so incredibly slow.

Traffic creeps where there's construction,

Cops are waiting near "on ramps."

How can 5 lanes be filled with cars-

All in their own little isolated world.

Wake up people, cars are weapons, and you are driving like an asshole!

Seriously?

How come everybody leaves work at the exact same time?

New plan:

Let's stagger peoples work hours based on the type of job they do~

Accountants and business people work until 6 PM

Doctors and lawyers until 5 PM

Teachers and city officials done at 3 PM
(Because they work hard enough in a short period of time...)

Everyone else- just stay home!

Sunset Boulevard Gets a Facelift!

My sleep for the past week has been ripped away from me every night because of the "beautification" project on the Sunset Strip!

I don't know who's responsible nor do I care! All I know is that someone thought that the entire stretch of Sunset Boulevard from Crescent Heights to Doheny needed a facelift...

After all, it is LA and no one or nothing can look like it's over sixteen years old!

It's too bad- part of their "beautification" meant tearing out forty year old trees! Not too mention the strain it's putting on all of the business that are already struggling to get people in during this economic hardship...

But the true crime (lack of sleep aside) is the parking lot formerly known as Sunset Boulevard! Don't even think about using it as a street- The traffic is backed up from sun up until sun down every day... And guess what? This project will not be done until August 2010!

Guess who else is going to need a facelift after this "beautification" project is done?!?

You Try Driving in LA!

Okay, so I know I'm not supposed to rage... and I've really been doing a much better job at slowly releasing the toxic rage that is damned up inside of me...

Until I get behind the wheel!

I can't help it! People cannot drive in LA. It's that simple...

I don't understand how anyone can think it's okay to change lanes without a turn signal, pull out in front of you and then proceed to drive 10 miles below the speed limit or blatantly talk on their cell phone while cutting you off!

Who is giving these drivers their license? ...and why?

But my favorite is when a driver does all of the above listed annoyances... and then honks at you (while talking on their cell phone) like it was your fault!

I'm honestly trying to find ways to stay calm and not freak out on LA drivers- the classical music station I listen to is NOT working...

Any suggestions?
