Cut

Sadly, not on a movie set, but from an audition.
No matter how many times you audition and book (or don't book) the job-
The audition process is always a joyful torture.
On the one hand, you get to perform and be creative-
On the other, you are forced to "act" natural while people stare and judge your performance, and then cast you (or not) based on EVERYTHING other than your talent...
It's the life of a performer- and sometimes it sucks!

Act Your Age!

I'm not sure which makes me sound older:
That I sat in cushy box seats during a rock concert last night,
Or
The fact that I just referenced a Paul Simon / Sting concert as "rock!"
P.S. No fancy special effects or lip syncing... they were both BRILLIANT.

Wedding in Napa

Day 1
Wine bus that seats sixteen;
Five vineyards on the tour-
Tastings, tastings, tastings galore!
BBQ at the bride and groom to be's gorgeous house.
Day 2
Sleep in and a late brunch,
Champagne toast with the bride to be-
Rehearsal (dress tech!)
Rehearsal dinner and dancing!
Day 3
Wedding day!
Sleep in,
Lounge by the pool,
Ceremony,
Cocktail hour in a champagne cave,
Dinner is served,
Dancing on a cliffside bluff,
A drunken wonderful time!
Day 4
Brunch with the Bride and Groom.
More pool time,
Lazy afternoon.
I LOVE weddings like this!
Congratulations Bevin and Lee

I'm Not 21 Anymore!

Met up with an old friend last night-
We partied like we did fourteen years ago!
Drinks, laughter, dancing, more drinks!
Scene change, more drinks, dancing, laughter...
Then I woke up this morning with a pounding headache!
I can't party like I did fourteen years ago!

Back In The Studio

I spent the day teaching and choreographing a group of talented dancers in Hartford, CT.
I'm always inspired when I have the opportunity to work with an eager new group of young artists.
It instantly reminds me of my journey as an aspiring entertainer.
It's rewarding to witness a new generation of dancers discovering their abilities, building their foundation and exploring their creative path.
The day went fast and furious. Acting, dancing, improvisation and technique over ten hours.
Though it felt wonderful in the moment, I know my body is going to be in total pain tomorrow!
Though my heart and soul still feels thirteen- my aches and pains remind me otherwise!

Quite On The Set

I'm up early and excited to greet the day!
Today, I'm shooting a short film- where I get to act, sing and dance with one of the most talented and gorgeous girls I know! Autumn Guzzardi!
I'm also looking forward to being directed by the brilliant Jeff Payton!
It's always fun to make things happen in Hollywood.... even if it is one short film at a time!

...and we have to thank for this project: Joelle Sorensen! Our executive producer, writer and editor! Also, for bring on board an amazing crew and D. P. for this adventure!

In my mind, there is nothing cooler than working with friends on projects that make you happy!
Too bad I ate way too much stromboli last night for dinner... and now I have horrible gas and I feel like a fat ass in my costume! ...Oh well, that's showbiz!
