Afternoon dates are fun;
The theater is empty and the restaurant, too.
You can stretch out your legs, and eat as much as you want; guilt free.

A Cinco de Mayo Thought:
Americans love a holiday,
Especially one that they've invented that involves booze.
Margarita- rocks with salt.
Don't forget the chips and salsa. Guacamole, too!
It's Cinco de Mayo and I'm a partying fool.

Six Word Essay on Spending A Week with the Family in Las Vegas:
Getting bloated from too much alcohol!

Polluted!
It's a challenge to accept it, but my "little" cousin turned 21 yesterday!
I used to change her diapers.
Now, I'm changing out her empty beer cans.
My entire family is in Las Vegas to celebrate the epic event.
I choose the word "epic" because twenty-five family members in the same city, sharing the same hotel, drinking and celebrating has it's fireworks!
Nevertheless, we partied until 1 AM,
Shelby, my cousin, was still standing at the end of the night, too.
Never mind the fact that she was being held up by her boyfriend and her mom.
Yep, that's how we roll in our family.
Through life's ups and downs, my family will rally to make sure you're always on your feet.
(...and heavily polluted!)

Act Your Age!
I'm not sure which makes me sound older:
That I sat in cushy box seats during a rock concert last night,
Or
The fact that I just referenced a Paul Simon / Sting concert as "rock!"
P.S. No fancy special effects or lip syncing... they were both BRILLIANT.

Friday
I love Friday, and have since I was a kid.
Friday is a beautiful hybrid of productivity and play.
There are still goals and tasks that you crunch to cross off a list,
In order to maximize on a carefree weekend of fun!
Not too stressful (like Monday.)
Not too lazy (like Sunday morning.)
Just a perfect balance!

Creative Juices!
This morning I'm getting my creative juices flowing again!
Looking forward to shooting a fun sketch for Funny or Die.
Whether I'm working on my own projects,
or in this case, helping a friend out,
I'm always grateful I get to do what I love.
If you're passionate about your job,
It's a lot more fun to go to work...
Especially at 8:00 am on a Saturday!

February
2013 is in full gear!
February lands with loads of cheer,
It's a short month-
So make it sweet.
Valentine's day is the perfect treat.
I wrote this random poem to say-
Welcome February,
Bring on the gay!

Sneak Peak
Yesterday we shot our biggest parody yet!
It was a jam-packed day of gut-wrenching laughter!
We're so lucky to know so many talented performers...
Here's a sneak peak from A Group Productions latest parody!

Wacky Wednesday
Did your elementary school have those crazy themed days like mine did growing up?
Flip-flop Friday, where everyone wore flip-flops.
Or
Tank top Tuesday, where everyone wore a tank top?
Well today, I've decided to give myself a theme: Wacky Wednesday!
Why Wacky Wednesday you ask?
Simple!
I've been busy working all summer long. Sure, for the most part my work has been creative and inspired. Still, I feel like I haven't given myself an opportunity to be free!
So today I'm taking my production meetings, running my errands and staying on target... but I'm going to do so in a wacky, tacky costume! Just to remind myself that life is short, and though work is important- So is living.
I guess my definition of "living" is dressing like an asshole in public!
Thank you to Joseph Arnold Elementary school in Torrance, CA for inspiring me to act like a dork for the rest of my life.

Take Me Out To The Ball Game!
Let's go Dodgers!
Sadly, the Los Angeles Dodgers did not win their game against the Phillies-
Happily, I won my game of: Eat as much stadium junk food as you can!
"Buy me some..."
Peanuts- check!
Nachos- check!
Garlic French Fries- check!
Super Footlong Dodger Dog- check! (Times two!)
...and of course no trip to Dodger Stadium would be complete without at least two beers- check plus!!!
It was a fun day all around. Even if the Dodgers couldn't get a run to save their lives...
We had a blast!
Now I'm in a major junk food coma-
And I fully realize why we have an obesity problem in this country!!!
Americas favorite pass time is NOT Baseball- It's FOODball!

Is it to early to start talking Christmas gifts???
I know, I know... I should not be thinking about what I want for Christmas just yet... Seeing as how tonight I will be going to the first of many Halloween parties that are scheduled this spooky holiday week! Nevertheless, I can't help but get excited for Christmas. Though I'm no longer a little boy... from time to time I like to remember what it felt like to start thinking about a Christmas list, and better yet... Begin dropping less than subtle hints to mom, dad, grandparents and generally anyone who would listen!!!
True, I would love peace on earth, an end to this war and for Obama to be our next president. Moreover, I know that in this wretched economy, the best Christmas gift I could give myself would be the gift of SAVING money... and share the gift of Love and Happiness instead of things that can be wrapped up in boxes...
But, gadget man that I am... topped with the fact that I love to read... Of course I fell in love with the new Amazon Kindle™, a wireless portable reading device with instant access to more than 190,000 books, blogs, newspapers and magazines. Whether you're in bed or on the train, Kindle lets you think of a book and get it in less than a minute.
Doesn't that sound amazing?
As much as I LOVE the smell of books, and how wonderful they look on my bookshelves... I think it would be an exceptional way to "go green" and save some trees!
Not to mention how awesome it would be to travel with 20 of my favorite books, magazines and newspapers without having to take more than one carry on!!!
So, okay... I realize that Christmas is so far away, and this handy little "Wonder Book" is NOT a necessity... But just writing this blog reminded me of how fun it is to dream!
