I've noticed that the people who promise you the world;
Are usually the ones wearing a suit they've borrowed from a friend.

Irony
The industry I’m in requires me to maintain a “healthy” (bone thin) frame;
And every meeting, function, and event that I’m required to attend serves a ton of food!

Networking Takes Work! ...AND A BETTER SPELL CHECK!
It's interesting how responding to one email can turn into a forty-five minute project.
Carefully scrutinizing every word (with far more patience than I do this blog post), I hit send, only to see a typo-
That's life.
Do I send an additional reply and comment on the silly mistake? Or do I let it ride and hope they understand?
How come networking takes so much work?

Sinking Feeling
I woke up today with a huge pit in my gut.
Life is full of unknown obstacles,
Especially if you're in the entertainment industry.
Fighting to remain calm, focused and confident that another opportunity will come along;
ASAP!
I hate feeling fear-
I must take action.
Part of "making it" in the game of life,
Is moving forward, evening while you're struggling to find a reason to get out of bed.
Don't say the "D" word-
Just get up and work.
Every step forward, is a step in the right direction.

Dinner Parties Are Fun!
Arrive at a lovely home you've never been to before;
Usually in the valley...
Enter into a group of people already happily socializing-
Wine, wine, wine;
Small appetizers passed,
Outdoor dinning room, perfectly landscaped-
One guest always brings that "Next Best Thing" in Hollywood-
She makes you laugh too hard-
Industry talk until everyone is "over it..."
Desert comes with more wine!
Everyone is merrily carrying on-
Dinner Parties are Fun!
