Self check-out is common in Britain and I must say that I AGREE with Matthew! SOMETHING ALWAYS GOES WRONG. Items don't scan, they don't scan correctly, the bag area doesn't register the weight of the item and a manager rushes over to make sure you're not stealing (because, unfortunately, people do steal) and you feel like a criminal even if you didn't do anything wrong! It is such a waste of time for everyone involved, just for the store to save a few bucks. In the end, I think they lose money, because I've been in the queue for self-checkout and waited so long that I put my groceries down and LEFT. So let's get together and stop using them!
