Easter; the Light

As a child Easter was a representation of candy, colorful clothing, big hats and brunch––of course I was taught about Jesus and the Resurrection, but I understood the food and fashion.
Durning mass this morning, I was reminded that through darkness we find light;
Easter represents the rebirth, hope, and promise that with God anything is possible.
It was a reminder that I desperately needed (and heeded), before heading off to brunch with a box of chocolates, wearing colorful clothing. ...Some things never change.

Fear Not!

The moment I exhale the negativity;
I’m reconnected with the Universe.
I once again remember that my path has already been cleared;
I just have to follow it and trust that God will provide me with the tools I need along the way.

Goodbye 2015

When I look back on the past year I remember;
Brilliant things happen when you stop pushing and start trusting.
There is nothing more powerful than light.
I’ve spent most of my life fighting, pushing, praying, searching, dreaming;
Now, I’ve found a place of peace––I am open to the path unwinding.
I’m not afraid of the shadows,
I will conquer the darkness and hurdle the roadblocks.
My journey leads me on a new adventure: I am ready.

The Devil is Everywhere

Fighting to stay positive,
In a world full of negativity and insecurities.
Most will tell you why you won't succeed;
Few will encourage you to stay the course.
Find those people who energize you,
And shine your light bright—that's where God thrives!

Hope.

I will never forget the night of November 4, 2008. I was fortunate enough to gather with a group of friends as we watched this country come together and unite in equality. That once again hope, faith and humanity have joined with the promise of change. A commitment to come together on equal ground as the United States of America. I'm so grateful to live in America- where every voice can be heard, every person has the right to freedom and with hard work and faith, dreams can become reality.
