Serving Up a Sunday Slice of the American Dream

In a bus headed back to my house, we passed an IHOP full of happy people stuffing their faces with overly sweet corporate  pancakes—the American Dream is alive; and full of diabetes.

I love gathering for Sunday brunch with friends.
Most of my weekends are spent working long hours for mediocre pay—the American Dream is alive; and full of stress.

Mimosa!

Effervescent joy,
Fresh orange tang awakes my mouth;
Delightful nectar!

Sunday Funday!

I haven’t been this excited to go to the mall since I had acne on my face;
I travel so much for work, I usually miss all of the weekend fun with friends.
Today, I get to enjoy an adult play-date.
Brunch and a movie with friends.
Balance––finding time for the simple things in life.

Culture Brunch and Conversation with Matthew and Mari Beth

I spent the better part of every Sunday in my twenties in New York City with my friends Matthew and Mari Beth.
Matthew and Mari Beth are those close friends you have the look after you and make sure you're enjoying the finer things in life.
They always had the scoop on the hottest new eatery, best new exhibit at a museum, coolest new boutique or most delicious cup of coffee!
I'm so grateful to have them in my life.
More than ten years have passed, and they remain my go to source for inspiration, art and support.
Our lives and careers have blossomed, but our brunch conversation has stayed the same-
We cover everything from love, gossip, politics, art and Tom Cruise's (homo)sexuality...
I'm so happy that no matter what magnificent events have transpired, my friends remain true!
...and they're still taking me to the most lavish restaurants in New York City!

Birthday Brunch!

What's not to love about brunch?
It's the best of both worlds... You get all of the satisfying breakfast food, topped with a layer of lunchtime favorites, splashed off with mimosa's galore!!!

There's something so wonderful about meeting up with friends on a Sunday around 11:30 and sharing in juicy conversation while stuffing your face and getting drunk in broad daylight!
When done well- brunch should stretch through the early evening and right into at least another three or four bottles of wine!

Today, I'm having a birthday brunch- there's no telling what crazy adventures are in store!
I just hope one case of champagne is enough!
