Waking Up Before The Birds

The sun isn't up,
The sky is dark,
No traffic on the road,
And the rooster hasn't crowed;
It's just me with my thoughts and dreams.
They are still safe and I'm full of hope,
The harsh realities of life will kick in soon enough––but for now, I'm going to soak up my Faith.

Early To Rise, Means Nap Time!

I woke up at the crack of dawn.
If I get my work done early in the day,
I have more time to take an afternoon nap!
Wow, I just became my grandpa.

I'm Up!

I'm up two hours before I'd like to be...
I'm up two hours before I need to be...
I'm up for a call time that I WON'T get paid for...
I'm up for NO reason at all...
I'm up because it's my job, and I'll do it with a smile...
I'm up on tour, and wish I was at home with my family!
I'M UP!

Early to Rise

Up with the sun-
The birds are certainly happy,
and loud!
I love the smell of morning air,
Wet grass,
Coffee brewing.
With an early start, you increase the life of your day by double!
Finishing an entire days worth of work in the first 2 hours of the morning...
Making the most of a head start.

Waking Up Is Hard To Do!

Worked all day,

Up all night,

Alarm goes off and I want to cry.

Late to bed and early to rise-

Life on the road,

UGH!

Late to Bed, Early To Rise... It's a Producers Life

Waking up at 6 AM is not necessarily my favorite thing in the world to do-

However, if I plan to accomplish any of the goals I've set for myself

this week, I have no choice but to wake up when the sun begins to rise.

Don't get me wrong, waking up early has its advantages...

I get first pick of the pastries at Starbucks.

More importantly, I'm able to get twice as much accomplished.

I guess it's all part of the territory when you tackle shooting a parody for

our production company while helping to produce an event for the Sunset Strip!

No one said being a producer was going to be easy.

And it's certainly not my idea of fun;

But I'm sure I'll be proud of the work, 

once it's over and I'm watching the footage!

Out Of Paradise...

Why is it so much harder to wake up early in Los Angeles?
When I was in Hawaii I was up at 5:00 AM every morning.
Here in LA, I'm lucky if I can peel myself out of the bed by 8 AM!
I guess it's more fun to wake up with the sun, when it rises in paradise~
No matter how difficult it may be, my goal is to compromise...
I'm going to strive to wake up at 6 AM.
I just have to remember how much more I can accomplish when I don't sleep half the day away!
Like my Grandpa Smith always says,
"There's plenty of time to sleep when you're dead!"
Late to bed, early to rise, keeps a man living a full life!
