Oh Shoot!

Life on set gabbing with artists;
Sex talk at the craft service table,
Poop talk between takes—
I'm not sure who is more explicit:
The crew or the talent.

The RealiTV Is...

As an artist who sacrificed almost every waking hour from third grade through high school to train, study, and perform––so that I could spend my life as a performer, I’m embarrassed to admit:
I am addicted to Reality TV.
It’s mindless and outrageous content that makes me feel a little bit better about my life.
Jeff and I have spent the last five years mocking Reality TV with our digital short parodies, but since the launch of my book we’ve been too busy to produce more content, so I think I’m going through full withdrawal.
During the past six months on tour I’ve consumed more trashy, scandalous, Kardashianesque crap than ever before.
And the RealiTV is I’m just disgusted with myself.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to have a conversation with Bethenny.

Dreams Come True! (I hope.)

I just woke up from an A-List yacht party.
I was laughing, dancing and making deals with the Hollywood Power Players!
God, I hope dreams come true!

Island In Between

In the midst of a heavy production schedule,
I will be traveling to Catalina Island for a wedding-
I feel like I'm caught in one of those cheesy tweenage action adventure films; Journey To An Island Wedding and Still Attempt To Meet Your Deadline!
Not to say that I won't have fun,
I just feel guilty for leaving all the work that still needs to get done.
The things we do for friends...

That's A Wrap!

We wrapped on an awesome new project last night;
I love when dance and television collide,
Intelligent Latin women, full of passion and talent...
It doesn't hurt that they're all gorgeous!
We got what we needed from them,
Now the real work begins-
The most important part of the story:
Editing.
Ugh. It's a thankless job, but it has to get done.
Let's sell a show!

I'm So Hollywood

Nothing like a jam-packed schedule in LA;
Shooting a fun sketch for some friends with their own cabaret show in New York,
Then off to choreograph fifty 5th graders through the enchanted forest,
Next stop power lunch with industry friends,
Followed up with a full night of production on our next TV adventure.
The glamorous life is less less attractive when you don't have time to breathe.
Still, I love creative productivity!

Lets Do Lunch!

Today is one of those Hollywood days-
Finalizing our new press kit,
Coffee meeting with our manager,
Strategizing with our production partner,
Lunch meeting with network executives on the lot.
Hiking the Hollywood Hills,
And hopefully booking a gig...
All before lunch!

LONG Day!

Up too early,
Shot all day,
Accident in the car,
And now I'm ready to call it a night!
It was a VERY long day in LA!

A Grave Production?!

Up at 7am-
Full day of work.
Then-
Shoot begins at midnight.
Up until 7 am!
Talk about a graveyard shift!

Meetings, Production, PR... Oh My!

Up at the crack of dawn,
Ready for a full day.
Morning meetings,
Creatively peeking the interest of “suits.”
Wrap up meeting with manager,
Followed by pre-production work,
With enough time for a “power PR” lunch meeting.
It’s not even 3 PM and I’m ready to go to sleep!
All in an LA days work…

Late to Bed, Early To Rise... It's a Producers Life

Waking up at 6 AM is not necessarily my favorite thing in the world to do-
However, if I plan to accomplish any of the goals I've set for myself
this week, I have no choice but to wake up when the sun begins to rise.
Don't get me wrong, waking up early has its advantages...
I get first pick of the pastries at Starbucks.
More importantly, I'm able to get twice as much accomplished.
I guess it's all part of the territory when you tackle shooting a parody for
our production company while helping to produce an event for the Sunset Strip!
No one said being a producer was going to be easy.
And it's certainly not my idea of fun;
But I'm sure I'll be proud of the work,
once it's over and I'm watching the footage!

Productive Production!

I love when production meetings are productive!
Looks like January 2012 is going to be full of new adventures.
There may be a few old ones too!
Exciting!

Let The Production Begin!

Production on our new pilot is gaining speed! We spent the day painting sets, hanging curtains and finalizing the graphic on our logos!
I'm so excited to shoot this project! I can't wait until it's wrapped and we begin the editing process.
It's been tough not sharing the exact details of what we're up to, but it's a necessary precaution...

Production week starts Monday with; costume fittings, voice over recordings, rehearsals for the opening theme, finalizing the signs for our set, lighting tests, green screen test... The list goes on and on!
But in just one short week- a years worth of writing sessions, rehearsals, meetings, preproduction and financial investments will culminate when we shoot our very own pilot, on our brand new, outrageously fabulous, custom set!
