My body aches all over;
My belly is full of junk;
My wallet is empty;
My camera is full;
My niece and sister are happy;
My inner child is crying because it’s over;
My inner adult is laughing because we had a blast but I need a full day to recover:

Disneyland
No matter what age, I challenge a person not to have fun at Disneyland.
Okay, I’m sure it can be done...but why on earth would you allow yourself to be in a bad mood at the Happiest Place on Earth?
My sister turns 37 years old today, and I’m so grateful that I get to spend the day with her, my niece, and my husband.
My sister has endured and conquered so many obstacles in her life; from cancer to a coma and everything in between, and she’s alive and well.
Even at 5 a.m. I’m smiling from ear to ear, because we’re about to embark on a day of laughter, junk food, rides...and of course, a lot of princess pictures with my 6 year old niece! *Hopefully some of the Disney princesses will pose with her, too.

Disneyland
The best way to find the kid inside;
Is to act like a kid.
How can anyone fight the adventure that awaits at Disneyland.
There’s a reason they call it the Magic Kingdom;
All of the work that I think I need to do,
Will be waiting for me tomorrow.
Today––I’m going to play!

It's My Party...
And I’ll enjoy a full day of nonstop eating and drinking (in-between riding the rides at Disneyland) and NOT feel bad about skipping yoga... If I want to!

Family Vacation Day 5
A day to relax and spend quality time;
Blocking the negative from my mind––I’m focused on positive energy.
I love my family.
After we’ve said goodbye, I watch them drive away.
Back to their lives, and me to mine;
I will hold onto the fun memories and erase the dark spots.

Family Vacation Day 4
Long days,
Sleepless nights,
Hungry bellies;
Pointless fights.
I love my family. Even when they hurt my feelings.

Family Vacation Day 2
Early morning wake-up call;
Five grown adults and a kid have to shower.
I’ll let them fight over who goes first––I need a Starbucks!
The drive to Disneyland will be long:
Puppies in tow.
Christmas cheer among the crowds waiting in line for a thirty second ride;
Tis the season!
I love having my family in town.

Family Vacation Day 1
Nineteen years and worth the wait;
The city I call home––where we spent our childhood, my sister returns!
Mom, sister, and niece are here.
Breakfast at our favorite childhood hole-in-the-wall,
My niece and I collect seashell at the beach.
Sand in our feet, I love watching her react to the foamy, brisk Pacific water.
Memories of laughter and love as we drive past the house from our youth.
Now cuddling on the couch with a cartoon before our journey to Disneyland.
I love when my family visits me!
Life is good.

Lines
Some lines are worth the wait:
Space Mountain at Disneyland- Yes.
Splash Mountain at Disneyland- No.
The line for coffee at Starbucks- Yes.
The line for the bathroom at Starbucks- No.

Random Observation:
Waiting in line at Starbucks is like the adult version of waiting in line at Disneyland as a child.
Crabby, irrational and ready to throw a tantrum if someone tries to cut in front of you!

Every Good Joke Needs a Button!
For February's video entry...
I thought I'd share a clip of a fun adventure to Disneyland for my friend Michael Cornacchia's birthday!
Michael is an actor... and the BUTTon of every joke!

I'm Going To Disneyland!
One of the great things about living in Southern California is Disneyland...
In fact, if you're a Southern California resident the theme park offers a local discount on their annual pass.
Naturally, I own one! As do most of my friends..
I spend most of my time behaving like a child, so it seems natural to get excited about;
themed rides, junk food and fireworks... Not to mention one of me and my friends all time favorite rides:
The hotel bar at Disney's California Adventure.
But today, I think I reached my max for a while!
(Please know that I never thought I'd utter those words.)
Alas, not even the alcohol worked at helping me deal with the long lines, ruthless mommies with their strollers and the over priced food!
No offense Mickey, but this mouseketeer is out!
I think I'm going to try my luck at the ghetto park... or as they call it in Valencia:
Six Flags Magic Mountain!
